Business Development Coordinator

Job Summary

Canoga Perkins is seeking a talented and passionate Business Development Coordinator to drive the sales of advanced 5G Fronthaul and Backhaul Ethernet transport products. The right candidate will have strong research and writing skills. They must be able to collaborate with internal and external business partners, sales and customers and well as internal marketing and R&D teams. This position requires a person who can demonstrate knowledge of telecom technologies, can sometimes operate under minimal supervision, and able to juggle multiple projects. The candidate must be able to execute strategies to foster new business growth in the emerging 5G markets.

What you’ll do
  • Work closely with product/sales leadership to implement and execute strategies to developing new business growth for 5G Anyhaul Transport Product line
  • Proactively developing/managing an opportunity pipeline.
  • Business forecasting and analysis on current/future trends
  • Developing use cases that will take advantage of future private 5G networks to complement/supplement or create brand new revenues streams for Canoga Perkins.
  • Write and maintain marketing and product collaterals (white papers, product sheets, etc).
  • Provide competitive intelligence – feature set, roadmap, pricing information to product management teams
  • Identify and attend tradeshows and other business functions to keep abreast of developments in the marketplace, to find potential new business opportunities
  • Update and Maintain Canoga’s digital presence (website updates, social media)
  • Planning, developing and working with the marketing communications team on the execution and sustainment for all elements of go-to-market initiatives including: product launches, market research & analysis, outbound messaging, value propositions, differentiation and thought-leadership communications activity
  • Identify potential third-party partnerships and licensing opportunities
What we’re looking for
  • Experience working with service provider/cableco/telco organizations and related vendor
  • Experience with business development in the Industrial Enterprise space preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and experience with customer presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain extensive customer relationship
  • Experience with creating and maintaining digital presence
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, and Project is preferred
Must Have
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or Telecommunications Technology.  MBA a plus
  • Pertinent experience: 1-4 years of relevant technical and sales experience in the telecom or Industrial Automation industry. Background in business development is a plus.
  • Language requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Other languages are considered an asset.
  • Travel Requirements: This position requires regular travel across the USA (30% +). Some international travel is also required.
