L322 Application Overview
SNMP management of the L322 makes it ideal for Central Office, POP Site or Remote Site deployment for 100Mbps Fast Ethernet Services. UCS Management allow access of up to 240 units by a single Management Module and IP Address. This UCS1002 type (2 RU high) module gives it the mounting density demanded in today’s products.
The L322 flexible mounting allows the same units to be rack mounted at a central site or placed in a standalone enclosure at customer locations. For more control of the Ethernet data stream, the L322 Fast Ethernet Media Converter at the Central Office/POP Site and the 9145E Network Interface Device at the customer premises provides for a powerful offering. The 9145E provides the Network/Customer interface with full controllable user interface including VLAN Tagging/Translation, Packet Filtering, Traffic Stats, and interchangeable interfaces.
This arrangement provides native Ethernet Transport using Ethernet over Fiber Technology. Without protocol changes or packet encapsulation, the equipment is simpler, more reliable and your people do not have to learn special operations and techniques. This lowers the cost of providing services and simplifies installation and maintenance.
